Here is, what I started the 29 Faces challenge with today:

My niece in profile, work in progress

Acrylic grounding, sketched with graphite water colour pencil mixed with acrylic:

I will proceed working on sketches and paintings of this wonderful girl, as I have a project with her in mind :-)


  1. I have such a struggle with profile faces and so admire yours, it is beautifully rendered.

  2. Just beautiful! I agree with Clare, profile faces are difficult for me too, and your piece is just amazingly well done! I love that it's black and's just perfect. I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring! <3
