On the left page (above) I have drawn a sketch of a woman after an art-photo on
Ritva Sillanmäki's blog. This is, how it looks:
It is done very quickly, I just captured the main shadow and light with a charcoal on the acrylic background. The matte coal on the shimmering acrylic is very special. I guess it doesn't show too well on the photo.
Great idea! Have you heard of the 29 faces challenge? It's a challenge where you draw or paint a face every day during a month. Starts again in February. It's great fun, might be the perfect way to fill up those pages. Here's the link in case you're interested: http://ilove2paint.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/first-post-of-2013-giveaway.html. Love your face btw :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice words, Denthe!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the hint about the 29 faces challenge, I will check it out.
Enjoyed seeing the face...I have also just joined a sketching class and learning things from positioning the pencil to proportion to light/shade...I will learn a lot from your faces I am sure! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Za faran! It is so great, to take classes, learning together with others and from others as well!
