Portrait-sketchbook

I'm going to fill up a whole sketchbook with faces. I have started to prepare the first few pages with acrylic. The book's size is: 13,3 x 13,3 cm.

On the left page (above) I have drawn a sketch of a woman after an art-photo on
Ritva Sillanmäki's blog. This is, how it looks:

It is done very quickly, I just captured the main shadow and light with a charcoal on the acrylic background. The matte coal on the shimmering acrylic is very special. I guess it doesn't show too well on the photo.

  1. Great idea! Have you heard of the 29 faces challenge? It's a challenge where you draw or paint a face every day during a month. Starts again in February. It's great fun, might be the perfect way to fill up those pages. Here's the link in case you're interested: http://ilove2paint.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/first-post-of-2013-giveaway.html. Love your face btw :-)
