Now to the fun part of my post
Some sketches
The first one is done on a small piece of paper (x inch square)
The second is done in my faces sketchbook and it is the beauty queen from last week, only this time I sketched with an H (Faber-Castell) pencil.
I've done some more drawings of a real princess (Marie, the second wife of the second son of the Queen Margrete of Denmark). There is no special likeness to the photo I used for reference!
Finally I would like to show you a canvas I've been working on this week in acrylic:
The background I prepared:
Painting in the figure of a woman:
And finally the face. I'm not quite sure, if it is finished:
This is it for this week's Paint Party Friday, hop over and enjoy the art presented by many artists around the globe!
Lovely work. Great sketches, and love the canvas you are working on. Valerie

Beautiful work Ilona. I love your sketches and the large piece has so much atmosphere and intrigue.
ReplyDeleteI think it is best to answer a question on the blog where it was asked so that it can be shared with all the visitors.
Amazing work! Happy PPF and love from Brazil!
ReplyDeleteThe lady in acrylic has great depth. Can't wait to see if you decide to do more - Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot done this week! The first sketch is my favorite! And that painting is very special. Nice to see the progress....
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer a visit to my own blog. Once I've made a comment on a blog, I usually don't go back there to see whether someone answered my comment ....
What gorgeous sketches! They're all wonderful and nicely detailed! Super artwork :) If I ask a question, I try to get back to the blog to see the answer but sometimes forget. I don't mind either way.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying your work in FB but I will tell you here as well: beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketched faces, and beautiful painting too. The girl in the painting has mystique, and makes one wonder about her story.
ReplyDeleteFantastic drawings, with so many different and well captured face expressions. I usually do not get back to the same post just because of the time limits and usually visit pages which I like and always I try view few new ones every week. Visiting other people and artists blogs are great inspiration and it is always so good to see what other create and how beautifully creative they are. Thank you for sharing your art.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. Love the line work and expressiveness of the sketches. Your painting seems to be talking to you and I love the story it's telling.
ReplyDeleteIlona your sketchings are so finely detailed and the painting of the woman shows she's got attitude-nicely done!
ReplyDeleteIlona I prefer a visit since it's a party and I never return to a blog once I've visited. Your work is wonderful I love the inquisitive look on the first girl, all of them are just fabulous!! You are sooo talented!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
Your work has gone ahead so much!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the loose feeling of your canvas - I have a habit of overworking things and sometimes I really have to force myself not to add "one more" touch :D
HPPF!
Wow you have created a lot this week. I love all the expressions you create in the faces. The painting is absolutely fabulous.

Your drawings and paintings have a sensitive touch that I wish I could capture. The saying goes... practice, practice, practice. You inspire me. As for answer to questions asked, because I rarely go back to the blog, I suppose an answer at my blog or contact email would be helpful. Usually, though if I have a question, I try to contact the person through the contact address, not thru the blog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, sensitive sketches and wonderful painting! Happy PPF!
