Here is my entry so far (work in progress???)
I painted this bird on a piece of left over wood (2x4,5x30 cm) with my dry pastels and some water. I quite like the effect, but am not sure if it is finished... :-)
The photos are not the best, sorry for that, but the size and form makes it a bit difficult to take good photos.
Thank you Conny for the Mix it Monthly challenge! I think you really have some great and inspirational ideas for us to play with!
I'm looking forward to new challenges!

DeleteYou don't to need hear anybody else, You know it Yourself inside You that You are artist. And You are artist I can see it. Sometimes all people in artexipition don't understand all artworks, but works still are art and You don't need to think their idea, only art inside You is important.

ReplyDeleteWow-- Ilona das ist super gelungen.. ich hab vor längerem so ein ähnliches Format auf Holz probiert und hab es mit Papieren beklebt und ehrlich ---es wurde einfach nicht fertig und steht seit Monaten als Ufo herum...

DeleteIt's an amazing work. I love the subtle way the pastel works with the wood grain. I also enjoyed looking at the wide range of work in your last post about your exhibit. I have no doubt that you are an artist, but I think self-doubt is not necessarily a bad thing. It keeps us humble and our work fresh. There is so much freshness and insight in your work. Keep sharing and showing and enjoy your new phase!
